FTL has released a bond calculator gadget for users of Google Desktop and iGoogle and compatible services. The bond calculator can be incorporated into these services and available at a moments notice.
The gadget supports the US securities market - treasuries, agencies, corporates, and municipals. And, it allows users to enter a bond description and calculate a variety of results.
The Pricing tab shows the yield, price, principal, accrued interest, and total moneys. The Risk tab allow the user to calculate the duration, modified duration, convexity, and price value of a basis point. The Return tab display the total face value, total of all interest payments, and the interest on interest accumulated with an assumed reinvestment rate of the coupon rate.
To add this to your iGoogle page or Google Desktop, select the menu item 'Bond Calculator - Google Gadget' from the left hand navigation menu.
